Pastor’s Column: October 5th & 6th
We had a wonderful celebration of St. Wenceslaus Day on Saturday, September 28th. Bishop Roger and Deacon Jerry, as well as all our visitors were happy with the Mass and the hospitality. We thank Sue McDonough, Betty Bican, and Gam Irizarry who coordinated the affair. The meal at Bohemian Hall was great.
We can us more volunteers to help with the details of St. Wenceslaus Day in the future. If interested, call the rectory, and we will forward your name to Sue McDonough.
I will be away October 8th through October 11th for the required Priest Convocation in Sawmill Creek. Therefore the weekday Masses on Tuesday and Thursday have been cancelled.
If you are reading this online, the pet blessing is Saturday, October 5, at 1:00 p.m. at the rectory garage and First Saturday Devotions will be at 3:15 p.m. that same Saturday in the church. We are honored to have the Pilgrim Virgin Statue from the Cleveland Division of the World Apostolate in our church for this weekend and next weekend. On Sunday, October 13th there will be a Cell Hour of Holiness at 11:15 a.m. The rosary will be prayed at both devotions.
At Fatima, Mary identified herself as Our Lady of the Rosary and asked us to pray a five decade rosary every day.

Prayer for Changing of the Seasons
O God of Creation, you have blessed us with the changing of the seasons. As we embrace these autumn months, may the earlier setting of the sun remind us to take time to rest.
May the crunch of the leaves beneath our feet remind us of the brevity of this early life. May the steam of our breath in the cool air remind us that it is You who give us your breath of life.
May the scurrying of the squirrels and the migration of the birds remind us that you call us to follow your will. We praise you for your goodness forever and ever. Amen.
